Striker Williams signs for Yeovil

Sam Williams
Williams ended last season on loan at Brentford, where he scored two goals

Striker Sam Williams has joined League One side Yeovil Town on a free transfer after being released by Aston Villa.

The 22-year-old has signed a two-year deal at Huish Park after impressing Glovers boss Terry Skiverton in the Errea South West Challenge Cup.

Williams, who was born in Greenwich, never made a first-team appearance during his spell at Villa Park.

He has had loan spells at Wrexham, Brighton and Hove Albion, Colchester United, Walsall and Brentford.
