Worcestershire v Somerset - NO PLAY ON DAY ONE, RAIN

The first day of the County Championship Division One match between Worcestershire and Somerset was abandoned without a ball being bowled. Heavy rain at New Road forced play to be called off for the day at lunchtime. When the game does begin, the home side will be without pacemen Ashley Noffke (ankle) and Kabir Ali (back), but Richard Jones is set to play. Somerset are expected to be unchanged from the side that drew with Hampshire last time out.
