Wycombe Wanderers sign Dagenham & Redbridge's Lewis

Stuart Lewis
Lewis has also played for Barnet, Stevenage and Gillingham

Wycombe Wanderers have signed Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Stuart Lewis on a free transfer, following a successful loan spell.

The 23-year-old, who has been at Adams Park since November, has signed an 18-month deal.

The former Gillingham man has featured in Wycombe's last 10 games.

"I'm delighted to be able to keep Stuart at the club because he's been excellent in the short time he's been with us," said boss Gary Waddock.

"He's fitted in really well with the rest of the squad and he'll play an integral part in the team over the coming months."

Lewis added: "Ever since I joined the club on loan I've wanted to stay here and I'm really pleased it's all done. It's the easiest decision I've ever had to make.

"Everything ticks the right boxes for me and I'm really enjoying being part of the setup.

"The manager's been brilliant for me and he gives the players the freedom to go out there and play, which is another reason why I want to be here."

The ex-Tottenham trainee has played 11 times for the Daggers since arriving from Gillingham last summer and has also had spells with Barnet and Stevenage.
