West Brom's Roman Bednar ready for 'a fresh start'
Bednar is back at West Brom after a five-game loan spell with Leicester City
West Bromwich Albion striker Roman Bednar says he has returned to the club with a better focus and a strong desire to give his all in the Premier League.
After playing only six times in the first half of the season Bednar, 27, joined Leicester on loan in November.
Now back at The Hawthorns, he was a substitute in the Baggies' FA Cup defeat by Reading.
"I'm happy to be back. It feels like a fresh start for me again," Bednar told the club's official website.
"Everyone knows I love this club and I'm going to try and prove I should play."
Bednar made five appearances for Leicester in this short time at the Walkers Stadium and says the break away from The Hawthorns came at the right time.
"Maybe I needed to go to Leicester to realise what I wanted," he said.
"I really wasn't handling well the fact I wasn't playing. I was pretty unhappy - and everyone saw that - before I left for the loan.
"But I just had to put my head straight."
Now back at Albion, the Czech striker is raring to get an opportunity to show the Baggies' fans he means business.
"I'm working hard - that's what I promise. I've got something left to prove and I still want to be here.
"I went to see the gaffer and he said 'if you work hard you will get the chances', that's enough for me."
