Tranmere Rovers midfielder Ryan Fraughan signs new deal

Tranmere Rovers

Tranmere midfielder Ryan Fraughan has agreed a new one-year contract at Prenton Park.

The 19-year-old played eight times last season before joining Welsh Premier League side Aberystwyth Town on loan.

"Ryan is a talented youngster who did really well in his loan spell," said Rovers manager Les Parry.

"He is comfortable on the ball, likes to take players on and has an eye for goal. I'm pleased he will be with us again next season."

Parry added of Fraughan, who has been at Tranmere since the age of 14: "It's a credit to the club's youth system that another player who has come through the ranks has reached first-team level."

His signature follows the permanent capture of former loan signing Joss Labadie from West Bromwich Albion last week, as Rovers attempt to rebuild their squad after securing their League One status on the final day of the season.
