West Bromwich Albion release midfielder Joss Labadie
Labadie played for three different clubs on loan last season
West Brom have chosen to release Joss Labadie rather than to take up the year's option on his contract.
The 19-year-old midfielder spent the latter part of the season on loan at Tranmere, and is being linked with a permanent move to Prenton Park.
Labadie failed to break through into the Baggies first team and had loan spells at Shrewsbury and Cheltenham.
"We think he's got a good future in the game and wish him well," said Albion's sporting director Dan Ashworth.
"We liked his physical attributes and his attitude, and he's done well over the four years he's been with us. Heading into the Premier League we feel Joss is a little bit short of what we need."
Labadie made nine appearances for Tranmere, scoring three goals, as the Merseysiders avoided relegation from League One on the final day of the season.
