Jon Armstrong agrees to extend his Dudley Heathens stay

Ben Taylor
The Heathens will get more news on Taylor's injury next week

Jon Armstrong has agreed to ride for the Dudley Heathens until the end of May after Ben Taylor's comeback from injury was delayed for two weeks.

The Mancunian will therefore be available for the meetings against Bournemouth and Newport.

Armstrong has been attracting interest from other clubs but is happy to continue at Dudley for the time being.

"I can't speak highly enough of Jon, he's a great guy," said Heathens chairman Nigel Pearson.

"He was gutted with his display against Mildenhall on Tuesday and is desperate to get back in action. He's told me here's here for us as long as we need him."

Dudley have also been invited to take part in the National League Four Team tournament next month.

They will compete with King's Lynn, Rye House and Isle of Wight in Group A of the event at Mildenhall on Sunday, 6 June.
