Peterborough United defender Kieran Charnock completed a move to Torquay United on Wednesday.
Charnock agreed terms on a two-year deal with the Gulls, signing for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old spent four years at Northwich Victoria, before signing for Peterborough in 2007.
The defender, who went out on loan to Accrington Stanley last term, will go straight into the Gulls squad for Saturdays opener against Chesterfield.
