I think it highlights something unique about our team that our starting forward line and midfield were all under 24, with two of them being 19
Another very important win over Chester City on Tuesday pushed us up to fifth in the league (another record for the club) and once again the boys produced a superb performance, especially after the disappointing draw against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.
Taity [Richard Tait] scored a well worked goal after Shawsy [Tom Shaw] put him through and he slide-tackled the ball past the keeper. Also, Seb [Lake-Gaskin] made his debut on Tuesday and should feel proud because he played very well.

It's good to see a lot of younger guys being trusted to play in such a competitive league. From my own experiences and those of the other lads, it's very difficult to find a club or manager who is willing to assess you purely on ability irrespective of your age.
But at the moment, with everyone knowing that they can compete for places, it improves the squad no end. Some managers tend to use the excuse of 'inexperience' to defend not choosing the younger lads, but this only leads to a vicious circle developing I think. If someone isn't given a chance to play then where does he gain the experience?
The game on Tuesday was good to watch and on a personal note it's made my suspension just that bit more bearable because I've watched us play some really enjoyable football.
JJ got a call, "Yeah I'm here with the guys ", he paused then realised that he was with the wrong team. He got up quietly, took his bags and left without a word. Apparently he was in fact on loan at Stafford Rangers
On Jermaine Johnson, who joined up with Lambs players for lunch
From a more selfish perspective, I'm just relieved to be available to play again, however I know I have to be patient now because with us doing so well I can't really justify being selected. As the cliche goes, there's no reason to change a winning team, so you just have to wait and be supportive.
There were a few highlights from the game on Tuesday, one being the performance of Seb Gas Leakin, but for me the real highlight of the trip wasn't on the pitch, but during the build-up. Earlier we met at a hotel on the M6 for a pre-match meal.
While in the car park a lad dressed in Derby County gear came up and introduced himself to us as JJ. Apparently he was just starting a month's loan from the Rams, so we just assumed the gaffer had brought in someone. He then joined us in the canteen.
A bit of small talk and couple of slices of toast later he felt a bit more acquainted with everyone. Even the gaffer came over and introduced himself but he thought it was a friend of one of the players so didn't question it too much.

Apparently he was in fact on loan at Stafford Rangers, and when he saw us he assumed that's who we were. Whether he just fancied a free meal or didn't see the large Tamworth Football Club badges on our tracksuits I'm not sure. It's a shame because I think he and big Trev [Trevor Benjamin] really hit it off.
We've got training on Thursday before we head down to Hayes & Yeading. Fingers crossed that Rodders [Alex Rodman] will be fit. He came off early with a hamstring injury.
I know some of the other lads have also felt a bit battered because of the intense schedule we've had, but with the way we've been playing, who wouldn't want to be a part of it?
