When you raise your arm, for whatever reason, I guess you're asking for trouble

On his red card against Barrow

It's been a mixed week for us. We started the bank holiday weekend badly, with a loss away to Barrow, and a needless sending-off on my part, which has culminated in me missing three games.

It's so frustrating knowing that I won't be available for selection for another week or so, but when you raise your arm, for whatever reason, I guess you're asking for trouble. I think my ban finishes in time for the Hayes & Yeading game next week.

From there though, the mood has become a lot more positive. In terms of results, Monday's win against Kidderminster was the perfect reply to the controversial loss.

It also meant that Tamworth moved into sixth place, apparently the highest league position ever for the club.

Once again the guys played well and, apart from Smudger [Chris Smith] catching the ball in second slip for the penalty, we looked solid, I thought.

On top of that, congratulations to both Wrighty [Nick Wright] and Rodders [Alex Rodman] who were selected as part of the 16-man England C squad. I was lucky enough to be placed on the contingency list.

It's good to see the club getting a bit of publicity, and hopefully that will help in attracting more people

Also it's good to see Wyldey [Michael Wylde] and Dominic Langdon recovering from their injuries on schedule. Dom's been out for six months and has been working non-stop to get back. Both should be training with the squad very soon, so fingers crossed.

After the game on Monday I was quite excited to talk briefly on BBC's Non-League radio show about our promising start to the season. It's good to see the club getting a bit of publicity, and hopefully that will help in attracting more people to our home games.

The gaffer gave us Tuesday off, so we had a bit of time to rest after facing such a busy schedule.

In our Thursday morning training we had our usual 'circle' (keep ball session), where the worst performers go into the middle.

606: DEBATE

At the end, the session's worst players are put up for nomination. The other lads then choose who they feel was the worst and that person has to sing a song in front of everyone.

Myself, Blacks [Michael Blackwood], Brucey [Anthony Bruce] and Des [Lyttle] were all awful and deservedly up for nomination, but the boys chose Blacks, who typically felt hard done by. Special mention to Taity [Richard Tait] who has been pretty nervous in the circle recently, but did very well to stay out of the running.

Saturday's game is against AFC Wimbledon. They'll be bringing a lot of fans to The Lamb. Rumour has it that they may have close to 1,000 travelling. Tuesday's game will be away to Chester, and we are really looking forward to both games because of the potential atmosphere.
