Promoted Tamworth made it 10 points out of a possible 12 at The Lamb as they earned a well-merited win against West Midland rivals Kidderminster Harriers.
The Lambs took the lead two minutes into the second half when Nick Wright drilled home from a badly-defended Michael Briscoe free-kick.
Jake Sheridan set up Alex Rodman to double that lead just past the hour.
Harriers' only response was Chris McPhee's penalty after defender Chris Smith had been penalised for handball.
The first half was a very even contest although the hosts could have gone ahead when Richard Tait let fly with a shot from 35 yards which flew past the post.
Harriers keeper Dean Coleman also made a great save from Neil MacKenzie's long-range effort as the sides went in level.
Harriers were then stung by Wright's early second-half opener, although McPhee might have put the visitors on level terms moments later, only for his shot to be easily saved by Danny Alcock.
Tamworth then doubled their lead Sheridan fed in Rodman, who curled the ball inside the far post.
McPhee did finally pull one back for Kiddy with 18 minutes left, but it was Tamworth who wasted the best chance to add to the scoring through Rodman.
The result, a big disappointment after Saturday's 3-0 home win over Altrincham, sees the Harriers slip to 11th in the Blue Square Premier table - but still only two points off the play-off spots.
Kidderminster midfielder Chris McPhee told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "We've been completely ripped to shreds by the manager and rightly so as there are a lot of players in that dressing room who just haven't performed today, myself included.
"When you come to these sort of places on a Bank Holiday you know what to expect.
"We felt we knew exactly what they were going to throw at us and we just didn't want to handle it so we just have to stand up and be counted on days like this as we just didn't do it."
