Swindon pre-season pleases Wilson

Swindon manager Danny Wilson has said he is happy with his team's pre-season preparations to date.

Gordon Greer's goal gave Town a 1-0 friendly victory over West Brom at the County Ground on Tuesday, their fourth clean sheet in the last five matches.

Wilson told BBC Wiltshire: "It's great to get an unbeaten run, we'd like to go into Gillingham unbeaten as it breeds good habits.

"We're doing ok, that's all we're saying, we've done nothing yet."

After the Robins conceded 71 goals in League One last season, Wilson has worked hard to improve his defence.

"I think the lads are getting the bit between their teeth now, they quite like these clean sheets," added the former Sheffield Wednesday boss.

Meanwhile, Wilson has revealed that the club will not be offering a contract to trialist Berlin Ndebe-Nlome.

The striker appeared as a substitute in the friendly against Cardiff and started the game with West Brom.

"He did OK against Cardiff and against West Brom, but we want more than alright here," Wilson told the club's website.
