Swindon Town have missed out on the signing of Wolves defender Charlie Mulgrew after he turned down the chance to move to the County Ground.

The two clubs had agreed a fee for the 22-year-old but the deal broke down after talks at the weekend.

Mulgrew told Swindon that it was not the right move for him at this stage of his career.

Meanwhile, manager Maurice Malpas is understood to be in talks with two unnamed Championship players.
