Rossiter blamed 'rust' for the defeat at Ipswich (Pic: Les Aubrey) |
Swindon boss Alun Rossiter said his team looked "rusty" as they were beaten 54-39 at Ipswich in the Elite League. The Robins went behind in the second heat and never recovered, with only Leigh Adams, Travis McGowan and Krystof Stojanowski scoring well. Rossiter told BBC Radio Swindon the 10-day break since their last meeting seemed to affect some riders. "We certainly lost our edge. James Wright and Mads Korneliussen both looked really rusty," he said. "I think Troy Batchelor coming back from such a long lay-off was also a major factor." "Travis did his job and Stojanowski did well for us, but unfortunately the other guys didn't come up with the goods."
