Swindon have four weeks to sell 2,000 more season tickets
Swindon Town have broken the 4,000 mark in their push to sell 6,000 season tickets this summer.
The club will charge an average of 10 a game for seats, if they reach their target by 1 August.
Chief executive Nick Watkins told BBC Radio Swindon he is hopeful they will sell the remaining seats in time.
"I think there will be a late burst, a lot of people said 'we don't need to do much before the end of July' and are keeping money in the bank until then."
He added: "We are hopeful that a push through to the end of August will see us get over the line."
Meanwhile Swindon's home game with Millwall has been put back 24 hours on police advice.
The London side will now visit the County Ground on Sunday 28 September, with a 1500 BST kick off.
