| Thursday, 6 February, 2003, 16:49 GMT Richardson loan extended Stoke defender Frazer Richardson will stay at the Britannia Stadium for a further month after Leeds agreed to extend his loan deal. Richardson's original contract was due to end after the Grimsby match this weekend but it has now been extended until 5 March. Stoke director of football John Rudge said: "We are delighted to keep Frazer for another month. "He has settled in quickly here and has done very well for us. "He has quickly established himself as a very valuable squad member. "And we are very thankful to Leeds, and in particular their manager Terry Venables, for their co-operation in extending the loan into a second month. "It's beneficial to all three parties - to us because we retain a very good young player, to Frazer himself because he's getting regular first-team football, and to Leeds because one of their youngsters is gaining experience at First Division level." |
