Two men representing a group who are investigating the feasibility of a community-led buy-out at St Mirren have joined the club's board.
Richard Atkinson and Chris Stewart hope to gather support for their bid to take up the offer of a 52% shareholding.
Chairman Stewart Gilmour is one of those prepared to sell on his stake in the Paisley club.
Atkinson will be commercial and development director, while Stewart is a new director and company secretary.
Vice-chairman George Campbell, directors Allan Marshall and Bryan McAusland and Evelyn Purves, widow of former director Jim Purves, are the others willing to part with their shares in the Scottish Premier League outfit.
Atkinson is a director of haulage and construction specialists, Maxi Group, while Stewart is a partner with a firm of Glasgow solicitors.
Speaking to the club's website, Gilmour said: "There is no agreement in place to sell our consortium's shares to any party.
"Naturally, we would investigate thoroughly any potential offers for our majority shareholding.
"To this end, the two new appointments to the board gives Mr Atkinson's group the opportunity to develop their proposals and at the same time use their business knowledge to develop new income streams for St Mirren."
