Steven Robb accepts short-term contract with St Mirren

Steven Robb has accepted a six-month offer with St Mirren to prove his fitness to new manager Danny Lennon.
The 28-year-old failed to play between September and December during an injury-hit season last term but finished as a first-team regular.
Lennon told the Buddies' website: "I think with the short-term contract, this will certainly make Steven Robb more positive and mentally stronger."
Robb joined St Mirren from Dundee United in May 2008.
He has since made 42 appearances for the Paisley side, 22 last term, and is now contracted until January.
The most important thing for him is that it gives him that platform to build on and something to aim for

"Steven Robb is no doubt the type of player we want at the football club, but the biggest thing for him is that he has got to be on the park playing," said Lennon of the player who began his career with Dundee and also had a loan spell with Raith Rovers.
"The short-term deal safeguards us in a way that, if he is affected by injury problems again.
"But the most important thing for him is that it gives him that platform to build on and something to aim for."
