Four can leave while two sign new deals at St Johnstone
Milne has made 94 starts for the Perth side since 2005
St Johnstone manager Derek McInnes has told four players that they can leave, while handing two others new deals.
Strikers Scott Dobie and Steven Milne and midfielders Jennison Myrie-Williams and Martin Hardie have been told that they can find new clubs.
Hardie and Myrie-Williams' contracts end in January while Dobie and Milne are contracted until the summer.
Meanwhile, strikers Peter MacDonald and Andy Jackson have had their deals extended until the end of the season.
Milne signed for Saints from Plymouth Argyle in 2005 and has scored 38 goals for the Perth club - including both goals in the 2-0 victory over Rangers in the 2006/07 Co-operative Insurance Cup quarter-final at Ibrox Stadium.
Hardie joined the club the following year and played a key role in Saints' promotion-winning season of 2008/09.
Former Scotland international Dobie and ex-Dundee United wide man Myrie-Williams joined the club at the start of this season, but neither has managed to become a first choice in McInnes' side.
Injury-plagued striker MacDonald has spent almost a decade at McDiarmid Park but has yet to score this season, while Jackson, whose career has been interrupted by serious illness, has netted once this term.
