Andy Jackson has been in fine form this season scoring 18 goals

St Johnstone striker Andy Jackson has been released from hospital a week after being taken off through illness during the defeat by Stirling Albion.

The 20-year-old, who had come on as a substitute, underwent scans to establish the cause of the problem.

Jackson left Forthbank Stadium in a neck brace and wearing an oxygen mask before receiving hospital treatment.

The club said it hoped Jackson would be well enough to attend a team meeting at McDiarmid Park before the summer break.
