Southend United have signed striker Jabo Ibehre on a one-month loan from fellow League One side MK Dons.
Ibehre, 26, has been limited to just three League One starts for the Dons this season, scoring one goal.
The forward will be available for the Essex side's next four matches before his loan ends on 23 December.
Ibehre told BBC Essex: "I'll bring a lot of thrust and energy to the side and bring players into play, I'm happy to get the opportunity to play."
The former Walsall and Leyton Orient forward worked with Blues assistant boss Paul Brush when the he was part of the O's youth set-up.
"I've worked with Paul for many years at Orient, he was my youth development officer and manager, I've got a lot of admiration and respect for him," he said.
Meanwhile, Blues defender Jonny Herd faces four weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring tear he picked-up in the win over MK Dons last week.
