Tilson's side earned an injury-time victory over Tranmere on Saturday
Southend United manager Steve Tilson believes they require five more wins to cement their League One status.
Saturday's 2-1 defeat of Tranmere was the Shrimpers' second win in succession and moved them up to 13th in the table, nine points clear of the drop-zone.
Tilson told BBC Essex: "Our attitude and desire has been fantastic and we're having to dig in to get these wins.
"We're looking for five wins to get to those 50 points and that's what we've got to get first and foremost."
Southend's season has been disrupted by injuries to key players and Tilson believes their position in the table at the end of the season will be dictated by player availability.
"That's now two wins back-to-back and it's important we keep bodies fit and healthy," he said.
"We've got 17 games in just over 10 weeks so that's a lot of games in a short time and it's important that we keep people fit."
