Colchester United manager Paul Lambert has said his side need to improve their defending of set pieces.
The U's were held to a 1-1 draw at Hartlepool on Saturday after Michael Nelson headed in a second-half corner.
"You've got to be able to handle set pieces - it's a big part of the game at this level," Lambert told BBC Essex.
"You've got to be able to head it and if you can't that's what happens and you lose goals, but it's up to us to rectify it."
The point gained from the weekend's game at Victoria Park leaves the Essex side 12th in League One, eight points from a play-off spot.
