Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Doug Loft admitted he was partly to blame for Chester snatching a last-gasp draw.
The Daggers threw away a two goal lead in the final five minutes to finish 2-2 against the League Two strugglers.
Loft told BBC BBC Essex: "I'm devastated, I think we had the ball for 85 minutes and five minutes of poor defending cost us the game.
"I'm happy to put my hands up, I just lost the flight of the ball and they scored the header."
The 22-year-old midfielder: "These mistakes cost us the game and we should be concentrating for 90 minutes, not just 85.

"I thought we dominated the game and that's what's disappointing."
Despite the two points dropped, the Essex club are still ninth in League Two, just three points shy of the play-offs.
