Crewe Alexandra striker Calvin Zola has turned down a loan move to Shrewsbury.
The 25-year-old Congolese forward has now rejected switches to the Shrews, Burton, Southend and Bradford.
He was Crewe's leading goal scorer last season with 18 goals but has struggled to break into the first team, scoring once in six games.
"I think he wants an increase in wages and Shrewsbury were not prepared to do that," Alex boss Dario Gradi told the Crewe club website.
"Calvin has said he is looking to go out on loan if there is a permanent move at the end of it."
The former Tranmere Rovers striker's current contract expires next summer.
