Graham Turner calls in John Trewick at Shrewsbury Town
Trewick was assistant boss to Turner before making the step up
Shrewsbury Town manager Graham Turner has appointed former Hereford boss John Trewick as his assistant.
Turner was chairman at Edgar Street when the 52-year-old was in charge of the Bulls but sacked him in March after a disappointing run of results.
Turner told BBC Radio Shropshire: "We worked together for six years at Hereford and got a couple of promotions in that time.
"His knowledge of football is first class and he's a good coach."
Trewick took over the Hereford job from Turner in April 2009 following their relegation from League One.
Retired Town defender Mike Jackson will be responsible for the development of players with former Olympian Tony Ford becoming the weight-training coach.
"I see Mike Jackson specially responsible for the development of players. I want to address the gap between the academy and first-team football," Turner said.
