Shrewsbury failed to maintain their push for top spot in the Birmingham Premier League after a shock loss to bottom-of-the-table Wolverhampton. The Danescourt outfit managed to win their first game of the season after Shrewsbury were bowled out for 134. In reply Dave Manning led Wolverhampton to a comfortable victory with a quick-fire 60. Wellington also missed out on a chance to move up the table after a defeat at the hands of Barnt Green. In division one, Shifnal restricted Attock to 203-9 in their 55 overs. In reply the Shropshire side were steered to victory by Tom Collins with 55 not out. In division two Whitchurch won, Bridgnorth managed a winning draw and St Georges lost. Oswestry also fell to defeat in division three.
