Former Shrewsbury Town midfielder Will Richards has been invited to train with AFC Telford United on a trial basis, reports BBC Radio Shropshire.
Richards, 18, was released by Shrewsbury at the end of last season after being a regular in the reserves.
Telford boss Andy Sinton is keen to take a closer look Richards as he continues to build his new squad.
Richards made his competitive debut last season in the 2-0 cup defeat against Accrington Stanley.
Telford have invited in a number of trialists since they started pre-season training a week early under new manager Sinton.
