Shrewsbury secure double signing

Kris Bright
Bright recently had trials at Norwich and Gillingham

Shrewsbury Town have signed New Zealand international striker Kris Bright, and young West Brom midfielder Joss Labadie on an initial month-long loan.

Bright, 22, who played for Panserraikos in the Greek Super League last season, has signed a two-year deal.

He appeared for the Shrews in last weekend's friendly at Tranmere, and also had a summer trial with Norwich.

Labadie, 18, had a spell at the Prostar Stadium last season, only to have it cut short by a metatarsal injury.

"Hopefully I can make it last a little longer this time and get through to January," Labadie told Shrewsbury's website.

"It is great to be back and I'm looking forward to the challenge ahead. I can't wait to get cracking in training."
