New man Terry Dunfield relishes working with Town boss Paul Simpson
New Shrewsbury midfield signing Terry Dunfield believes they have the winning mentality that could win promotion.
After his move from Macclesfield, Dunfield made his Town debut in the 0-0 draw at Underhill on Tuesday night.
And he admitted: "At Macclesfield if we'd gone to Barnet and got a draw we'd be buzzing at a good away point whereas here the lads were disappointed.
"It's the sort of mentality we need to win every game," Dunfield told BBC Radio Shropshire.
Shrewsbury prepare for the visit of second-placed Brentford on Saturday knowing that victory could move them back into the League Two top three.
And the 26-year-old midfielder admits that it is the overall quality of Paul Simpson's promotion-chasing side that persuaded him to leave the Silkmen and swap one half of the League Two table for the other.
"When you look at the team sheet there's some very good players to play with, said Dunfield.
The Canadian, who moved to England from Vancouver when he was 15, started his pro career on the books at Manchester City but made his first mark in three seasons at Bury before his move to Macc in the summer of 2007.
