New Telford signing Gavin Cowan insists he bears no grudge towards Shrewsbury Town - despite being released from the Gay Meadow in January 2007.
"I was disappointed when Gary Peters let me go," Cowan told BBC Radio Shropshire. "But I left on good terms.
"In fact, I'm looking forward to playing there for Telford in pre-season and seeing what the new ground's like."
Cowan will line up in the Bucks defence alongside his friend and former Shrewsbury team-mate Stewart Whitehead.
The 27-year-old defender has also revealed that Telford had been watching him for some time.
"I knew they were interested during the season and I was interested in them," he said. "But I was under contract at Nuneaton.
"When I got the chance I jumped at it. It's an impressive set-up at Telford that's really going places, and I'm looking forward to being part of it."
Cowan, who was signed for Shrewsbury by Peters from Grays Athletic in March 2005, made 30 appearances for the club in his near two years there.
