Rushden and Diamonds goalkeeper Dale Roberts believes his side's defenders can take credit for their position in the Blue Square Premier.
Diamonds are in fourth place with a 10-point cushion having conceded just seven goals in their last 15 matches.
Roberts, 23, told BBC Radio Northampton: "I worked hard when I wasn't playing, and I learnt a lot.
"I want to thank the defence, they've been outstanding. A [play-off] game at Wembley would cap off the season."
