Port Vale midfielder Louis Dodds says the side must not take any notice of other teams' results as they bid for a League Two play-off spot.
Vale are three points away from the top seven with four matches left to play, starting with a home game against bottom side Stockport on Saturday.
"If we start bothering about other people's results, that's when we'll slip up," Dodds told BBC Radio Stoke.
"We've got to take our games as they come and look for victories."
Vale have won only one of their last nine matches but have remained within reach of the play-off places.
The 24-year-old started the 0-0 draw against fifth-placed Torquay on Saturday and believes the team can use that result as a platform for their final four matches.
"It was probably a fair result but on another day we could have nicked all three points," said the midfielder.
"We need to not fear anyone at this point of the season and try to play our own game.
"Hopefully that will give us great confidence going into the weekend [against Stockport]."
