Torquay extended their unbeaten run to eight games with a goalless draw with Port Vale.
Chris Zebroski shrugged off three markers and sent a thumping shot wide in the first half.
Gulls skipper Lee Mansell made a superb block to deny Robert Taylor's long-range effort while Jake Robertson was thwarted at the other end.
Zebroski rattled the post with an angled drive while Sean Rigg's dipping effort cracked the crossbar for Vale.
POST-MATCH REACTION
Torquay United manager Paul Buckle told BBC Radio Devon:
"We certaintly warranted goals, but we played a good side in Port Vale.
"We took the game to them but couldn't get that finishing touch.
"We thought the disallowed goal was a perfectly good goal, we're disappointed it was disallowed."
