Port Vale's Anthony Griffith eager to return after ban
Midfielder Anthony Griffith is yet to score in 75 games for Port Vale
Port Vale's Anthony Griffith says he is eager to return to action after serving a two-match ban for receiving 10 yellow cards this season.
The defensive midfielder, 23, picked up several of the bookings for dissent.
"I'm not happy about three or four of them. But it's happened now and I want to push on in the second half of the season," Griffith told BBC Radio Stoke.
Griffith will replace Tommy Fraser at Morecambe on Saturday, after the Vale captain also picked up a two match ban.
Fraser received his 10th booking of the season in the 4-0 victory over Lincoln at Vale Park on Tuesday, while Griffith has recorded 18 yellow cards in 75 appearances for the League Two club since he joined on a free transfer from Doncaster in May 2008.
Vale will be looking for revenge at Christie Park on Saturday having lost 2-0 at home to Morecambe in December.
"It's going to be an ugly game, but we don't care about that if we win," Griffith added.
"We'll have to get involved, mix it up and get stuck in, and hopefully we get the result at the end of it."
