Jason Jarrett has played for 14 clubs in the Football League

Midfielder Jason Jarrett has left Port Vale at the end of his three-month contract with the League Two club.

The 30-year-old, released by Brighton in the summer, joined Vale in September, but struggled with illness and injury, making just 13 appearances.

The club reports he has now decided to pursue other options.

Manager Micky Adams told the official club website: "I would like thank to Jason for his time with the club and to wish him well in his future career."

Meanwhile, Vale's postponed Boxing Day home game against Burton Albion has been rearranged for Tuesday 19 January (1945 GMT).
