Port Vale winger Shane Tudor will see a specialist after suffering another problem with a persistent knee injury.
Tudor has made just nine starts for Vale since his move from Leyton Orient in the summer of 2007, twice appearing as a substitute this season.
"Shane's having a little bit of a niggle with his right knee," Vale boss Lee Sinnott told BBC Radio Stoke.
"We need to take him back to the specialist that operated on him and try to ascertain what the problem is."
Tudor had previously told BBC Radio Stoke that he was back to full fitness and ready to try and regain his place in the first team.
"I believe I'm as good as any winger in the league and it's down to me to prove it on the pitch," said Tudor.
"I just need the games to do that, it's going to take me five or six games to get my strength and sharpness back.
"I haven't worked as hard as I have for the past six months to watch it all disappear away."
