Sturrock is happy that his men are "up for the challenge"
Plymouth Argyle manager Paul Sturrock has said he was pleased with how his side played during their 2-2 draw with Sheffield United on Saturday.
Argyle were twice pegged back by the Blades, but Sturrock is happy at how his side are applying themselves.
"In the position I'm in at this minute in time it'd be very easy for me to say I've lost the changing room.
"But the boys are right up for the challenge," the Scot told BBC Radio Devon after the game.
"Two zany mistakes again cost us dear, but to be fair, they've given everything they've got and it'd have been a sin if they'd not come away with something."
Sturrock made changes to his defence, with left-back Chris Barker earning a recall.
"We've got to get back to a solid unit defensively and I felt that the boy Barker's talking and his qualities would be a bonus to us and it was proved right," he said.
And Sturrock was quick to remind people that Sheffield United were a tough side to face on such a poor run: "We've shown the right application, the fans have gone away with their heads high and we've played a team who haven't lost in their last 11 games away from home.
"They had three centre forwards on the bench that most teams would take and it shows you the quality we were against and matched."
