Sturrock has vowed to fight on despite a winless 2009 so far
Struggling Plymouth were held to a draw by promotion-chasing Sheffield United after twice leading a hard-fought game.
Carl Fletcher, on loan from Crystal Palace, fired in a debut goal from 12 yards after United had failed to clear a Paul Gallagher corner.
Danny Webber capitalised on a poor clearance from Pilgrims keeper Romain Larrieu to run through and equalise.
Gallagher fired Argyle back ahead from the edge of the box before Greg Halford headed United level from close range.
Plymouth Argyle manager Paul Sturrock:
"We carried on from where we left off in the second half against Palace on
Tuesday and battled throughout today.
"I have not lost the dressing room and that showed again today.
We are all in this together and it's just a shame that we gave away two zany goals, otherwise I would be here celebrating a victory."
Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell:
"I know through being here how tough it is to get anything at Plymouth and the
home crowd played their part today.
"With the position that Plymouth find themselves in, I knew it would be
tougher than ever and I am delighted with the way my players have come away with
something.
"They have come back twice and could have gone on to win it in the end."
