Sturrock believes he can turn Argyle's fortunes around
Plymouth Argyle boss Paul Sturrock is adamant he will not walk away from the club and is confident he can stop their slide down the Championship table.
The Pilgrims lost 3-1 to Crystal Palace on Tuesday and are only three points above the drop zone after a run of one win in their last 15 league games.
Sturrock told BBC Radio Devon: "I am not a quitter.
"We have got three more home games out of our next four. How we do in those will determine where we finish."
Plymouth face Sheffield United at Home Park on Saturday and, after a trip to face leaders Wolves, also play host to Watford and Reading in the next three weeks.
The Pilgrims have not won since their Boxing Day success over Southampton and Sturrock knows his side must arrest their slump quickly.
"It has been a difficult time," he explained. "No manager likes to go through what we are going through at this minute in time.
"It is exasperating because at the end of the day I pride myself on the fact that I have never been relegated and it is vitally important that this club stays up."
Despite Argyle's poor run, the home fans stayed behind Sturrock during Tuesday's defeat and the Scot was keen to thank them for their support.
"The fans have been great to me," Sturrock added. "At the end of the day we are all in this together - they showed their backing to the football team and it was much appreciated from everybody."
