Therry Racon and Nicky Bailey scored as rock-bottom Charlton beat Plymouth to grab a rare Championship win.
Racon opened the scoring when he curled in a superb left-footed shot from the edge of the area.
Plymouth were denied an equaliser when Paul Gallagher's 25-yard free-kick hit the bar, before Charlton's Bailey had a penalty saved by Romain Larrieu.
Bailey later made amends for the miss when he rounded Larrieu to slot in his side's second and seal the victory.
Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock: "I've poured my heart out and so have a lot of the players.
"There were a lot of angry words but it needed to be done and we'll be better for it. Winning games is what my job is all about and we are not doing that.
"I'm frustrated, annoyed and angry with myself and others. But never will Paul Sturrock walk away from a challenge."
