Plymouth Argyle have announced that tickets for their FA Cup third round clash at Arsenal will begin to go on sale on Sunday, 7 December.

All season ticket holders who bought their annual pass before the FA Cup draw are guaranteed a ticket.

They will be given the opportunity to buy them in a staggered distribution system starting at the weekend.

Argyle chief executive Michael Dunford says he expects season ticket holders to buy all the 8,600 allocation.

"We have staggered the sales to allocate each section of our season ticket support two days to come in and claim their tickets," Dunford said.

"Those season ticket holders who purchased a season ticket prior to the draw, will be guaranteed - and that's not a word I often like using - the opportunity to buy a ticket for the Arsenal game, providing they make their application within the prescribed time period."

The club have set aside certain days for season ticket holders in certain parts of Home Park to buy their tickets from the club's box office in order to avoid congestion.

"We have made sure that there are an equal number of tickets priced within each category over each sales period so that, no matter where you sit in the ground, every season ticket holder is treated equally," Dunford said.

The club are also looking at putting on a Cornwall to London express train, as well as a fleet of coaches, for the game, one of the biggest in the club's history.

"We have chartered dozens of coaches to leave Home Park, so I am certain the M5 and M4 will see a stream of green and white heading for London on that Saturday morning," he said.

Fans will be able to buy their tickets either by phone, in person, or by post.
