Diagouraga joined the Bulls after a successful loan spell from Watford
Peterborough United are set to sign Hereford midfielder Toumani Diagouraga, according to Posh's director of football Barry Fry.
Fry told the BBC that the clubs had agreed a deal in principle, and he is aiming to tie up the deal on Tuesday.
"We've agreed an undisclosed fee with Hereford and we've been given permission to speak to him," he said.
"Darren Ferguson spoke to him on the phone and I'll meet with his agent to hopefully conclude a deal."
Fry had hoped to complete a deal sooner for Diagouraga, but poor weather in France prevented the player's return from holiday on Monday.
Despite the delay, Fry does not see any reason why the former Watford player would turn down a move to London Road.
"If the boy doesn't want to come to the Championship and he makes it all about money then we don't want to sign him," Fry said.
"We only want young, hungry players that want to listen, learn and improve. If he's in that category then we won't have any problem."
Diagouraga, 21, signed for Hereford after spending the whole of the 2007-08 season on loan at Edgar Street from Watford.
In total, he has made 98 appearances for the Bulls, and was a consistent performer in the Hereford team that were eventually relegated from League One after just one season.
