Cambridge United's Gary Brabin has been named the Blue Square Premier manager of the year at the Football Conference's annual general meeting.
The 38-year-old led the U's to second place and a Wembley play-off defeat in his first season in charge.
Brabin is currently in Wales taking the UEFA 'A' coaching licence course.
He told the club website: "I think no matter who you are, even Alex Ferguson, you learn from your experiences every day and it makes you a better manager."
