Maclean has scored six goals in 54 appearances for Plymouth
Striker Steven MacLean has agreed to extend his loan from Plymouth to Oxford United by another month.
The 28-year-old, who has made three appearances for the U's, will remain at the club until 15 January.
MacLean told the club website: "I'm really happy to be staying at the club for another month. I've really enjoyed my time here so far.
"Hopefully I can score a few more goals between now and January and help the team push its way up the table."
The forward has already made an impact for the U's, scoring his first goal in their 2-1 win over Chesterfield last Tuesday.
Oxford boss Chris Wilder said: "Everyone has been impressed with Steven since he arrived. He has obvious ability and he's shown the quality he has in the three games he's played for us.
"So we're delighted that he's agreed to extend his stay. Hopefully if things go well we'll look to extend it even further."
