Oxford United's loan striker Steven MacLean says he hopes his spell from Plymouth is extended by a second month.
The 28-year-old scored the winner in the U's 2-1 win at Chesterfield last Tuesday, but his stay at the Kassam Stadium is due to expire next week.
MacLean told BBC Oxford: "I spoke to the manager and it looks hopeful that we're going to extend by another month.
"I am happy playing football and I'm happy at Oxford, so hopefully I can do well here and score a few more goals."
The Plymouth Argyle forward, who has scored six goals in 54 appearances for the Pilgrims, added: "You never know what can happen in football.
"If I do well here, Oxford might want to sign me or there might be other teams interested."
