Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said he would have been happy with a draw against Oxford United after his Manchester United XI beat the U's 2-1 in a friendly.
Magnus Eikrem put the visitors in front before James Constable levelled for the U's from close range before the break.
But last gasp Nicky Ajose volley secured victory for Solskjaer's side at the Kassam Stadium on Tuesday night.
"I think Oxford played really well. We would have been happy with one each, very happy," said the Norweigan.
"They put us under a lot of pressure and the rotation in midfield was good. Of course when you see full-backs flying on like the right-back did, you like watching this."
Solskjaer now runs the reserve team at Old Trafford while the Red Devils first team are currently on tour in the United States.
