Worley has played in the Championship for Leicester
Oxford United have signed defender Harry Worley on a three-year deal after a successful trial.
The 22-year-old was released by Leicester this summer and featured in Oxford's pre-season tour of Scotland.
"I'm really excited. I spoke to my agent and my family and just want to be settled now," Worley told BBC Oxford.
"I could have gone somewhere else on loan but I want to get in and play football on a regular basis and that is what I am aiming to do here."
Worley, who started his career at Stockport before joining Chelsea, had spells on loan with Crewe and Luton last season before he left Leicester.
The centre-back started the last friendly game away at Livingston which ended in a clean sheet for the defence in a goalless draw.
"Oxford United wanted me and anybody in any job would get confidence from that. It is a nice area and a big club. Hopefully we can push on this season," said Worley.
