Odds cut as punters back Oxford

Oxford United

The odds on Oxford United getting promoted this season have been cut by most bookmakers to 12-1.

Three straight wins have moved United to within two points of the play-off places in the Blue Square Premier.

The club are trying to capitalise on increased interest by offering a series of special offers for the final home games of the season.

Chairman Kelvin Thomas said: "These special offers are aimed at giving the team the biggest support possible."

There are deals for families, existing season ticket holders and for fans who back the team in the final three home matches of the campaign.
