Oxford United have extended the loan deal of Sheffield United defender Adam Chapman until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old, who has played in three Blue Square Premier games for Oxford - all wins - was due to return to Bramall Lane this week.

"I have really enjoyed my time here and I am happy to stay and help the team reach the play-offs," he told the club's website.

"Everyone has made me feel welcome and I have enjoyed my football."

Chapman has also been called up for international duty for Northern Ireland Under-21s against Wales in Ballymena on 10 February.
